WHAT IS BOOK CLUB?
Book Club is the longest running event at Vox Sheffield. It was launched in 2006 to provide a relaxed place for people to read books each month, meet others and share ideas.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone who can read! We read a really wide variety of books to suit all tastes and end up reading things we’ve always wanted to read through to things we never thought we’d ever pick up. You’re welcome to come along to chat even if you haven’t finished the book, or started it!
WHAT GOES ON?
We meet monthly to discuss the chosen book for that month. We’re pretty relaxed and informal. We have members who come every month and others who come when they can. Most months we have new people joining us.
As well as the monthly book club we also have the odd trip to see films or theatre productions linked to that month’s book and ‘Meet the Author’ events at Central Library. We also aim to join with other elements of Vox in fundraising and raising awareness for Vox charities.
WHEN AND WHERE DOES IT HAPPEN?
Book Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Crucible Corner (opposite the Crucible theatre), 7.30-9pm
