The Otto Woo brand stands for healthy, fresh and funky food.
The original Otto Woo was established in Ponsonby, Auckland in December 1999. The idea came from thinking about the following questions: "What would we like? What kind of food, what kind of place, what kind of service and what kind of people would we like to work with?"
The net result was Otto Woo.
The Otto Woo brand stands for healthy, fresh and funky food. Otto Woo provides western style modern Asian cuisine, with strong Japanese, Thai and Malaysian influences. Each meal contains loads of daily fresh vegetables, high quality sauce, herbs and other ingredients to make the meals tasty as well as healthy. No pre-cooked or processed meat is used, and MSG is never added.
The management team was overwhelmed by the success of Otto Woo as it quickly built up a strong and loyal client base, in the face of some of the toughest competition in New Zealand. It soon became a popular place to frequent for the local and distance professionals. At that time there were no other New York style noodle bars of its type.
Otto Woo has won many Best Noodle Bar and Best Gourmet Takeout awards. A successful formula had been developed, and from there on was the vision to open more Otto Woo Gourmet Asian Fusion Bars throughout Auckland.
Otto Woo Gourmet Noodle Bars are now in four popular locations - Ponsonby, Newmarket, Mission Bay and Takapuna.
