Identity Web Design is a web design studio based in Ipswich, Suffolk, which has been crafting bespoke websites and digital strategies since 2009. It works with organisations ranging from startups through to the University of Cambridge, and maintains a second office in Chelmsford. The studio organises its work around four core disciplines that feed into one strategy. Web design produces user focused sites intended to reflect a brand and convert visitors into customers. Web development builds those designs on Joomla, WordPress or fully bespoke frameworks, engineered to last rather than assembled quickly. Bespoke solutions cover custom portals, integrations and business systems built around how an organisation actually works, which is where the studio moves past brochure websites into software. Digital marketing covers SEO, PPC and content strategy, now extended into generative engine optimisation as search shifts towards AI generated answers.Around those sit ecommerce builds, website hosting and media production, so a client can have the site built, stocked, hosted and marketed without appointing four separate suppliers. The commitment the studio makes most plainly is that every project is built in house by its own developers. Nothing is outsourced and nothing is templated. In a market where a great deal of web work is subcontracted overseas or assembled from bought themes, that is a meaningful distinction, and it is the reason the team can take on bespoke back office systems as readily as a straightforward brochure site. The portfolio shows the breadth of that. Past projects include AQ Wiring Systems Rockford, Supply Plus, Hardly Floors, JB Autowerx, the Suffolk Sustainable Schools Network, Marillac Neurological Care Centre, Red Sector Recruitment, Stour Ecology, Mark Masons' Hall, Markides Associates, J Gard & Sons, PlantLink Recruitment, Fryers Transport, the Suffolk Records Society and Lumberjacks. That list spans manufacturing, motor trade, healthcare, recruitment, ecology, transport, education and membership organisations, which is a wider range of sectors than most regional studios can evidence. The team is made up of experienced designers, developers and marketers, and describes its mission as creating high quality, impactful and performance optimised websites tailored to each client. Work is delivered across Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, covering web design, ecommerce, search engine optimisation and wider digital marketing in each. After more than fifteen years the studio remains based on Wherry Quay in Ipswich, and new projects start with a conversation about what the organisation is trying to achieve rather than with a template.
