Two dudes trying to change the world one sandwich at a time

Two buddies from ODU came upon the restaurant before when it was K-Tides. In need of help we partnered up with our professor closed the doors for only 3 days. With a lot of hard work, red bull, and drive the K-Tides was gone and the Bistro was born on Monday September 9th.

About us:

Paul "Pauly" D was born and raised in the one and only NYC. He'll be sure to great you with a traditional "Hey how you doin" when you walk through the door. Pauly is an alumni of ODU and attended Johnson and Wales University. Pauly will be pursuing his MBA at ODU once things settle down a little bit at the Bistro. Handling the culinary direction of the restaurant he wanted to keep it fresh, fun, and delicious. Pauly had a goal to make a quality affordable lunch/breakfast spot that was supporting local fresh produce and wouldn't put you in a food coma after lunch. In Pauly's spare time he can be found cheering on the Norfolk Blues Rugby Union or somewhere in Ghent enjoying a pint.

Rob "BM1" Lane

Born in Detroit Motor City Rob bounced around the midwest a bit before settling outside of Philadelphia for the bulk of his young adult life. After high school Rob joined the Navy and left the quiet Pennsylvania way of life. Now he's got over 8 years of service, 6 years active 2.5 years reserves, a handful of deployments under his belt and he proudly holds the title of First Class Petty Officer. With plans to return to active duty upon graduation from ODU Rob plans to finish out at least 20 years of military service. These days when not at the Bistro he can be found at ODU working on his degree in psychology, at the shooting range, or in Ghent enjoying a pint with Pauly D.

We proudly support The Wounded Warrior Foundation, Old Dominion University Rugby Team, and Sigma Pi Fraternity.
