M Hospitality is a Jacksonville-based restaurant group founded by professional chef siblings Matthew and David Medure. Matthew’s Restaurant, Restaurant Medure and M Shack make up the Medure brothers’ collection of award-winning restaurants.

M Hospitality is the visionary collaboration between two Pittsburgh siblings, Matthew and David Medure, who meshed their creativity and love of quality, artfully prepared cuisine to form a family owned/operated enterprise.

M Hospitality operates three dining establishments and a catering business in Northeast Florida, in and around the Jacksonville area. Each of our restaurants has its own personality and aura. Matthew’s Restaurant in San Marco, with its elegant, white linen-topped tables, invites guests to enjoy an intimate meal of pristine seafood, handmade pasta or locally and regionally sourced meat dishes.

Offering a more casual yet still refined atmosphere, visitors to Restaurant Medure in Ponte Vedra Beach often begin their evening with a specialty cocktail and appetizers, followed by a seasonal scratch-made entree and a creative soufflé to cap off the evening.

M Shack on Atlantic Beach, geared more toward the flip flop-wearing crowd of tourists and locals on the go, features Medure’s spin on ‘fresh casual’ fare – burgers, hand-spun milk shakes and other classic comfort food, enhanced with fresh ingredients and top quality all natural, hormone-free beef.

Chef Matthew Medure opened our flagship enterprise, Matthew’s Restaurant, in 1997. After just two years, his unique menu, elegant presentation and impeccable service was recognized and rewarded with an AAA Four Diamond Award – a distinction it still retains. Fresh off that success, he and his brother enthusiastically opened Restaurant Medure in 2001. David Medure continues to lead his dedicated culinary team as Executive Chef of Restaurant Medure, which has held its own AAA Four Diamond Award since 2005.

In 2011, the brothers opened M Shack, combining the concepts of an old-fashioned burger joint with style and fresh, high-quality ingredients. And with our latest venture, M Catering, our family of professional chefs make elegant events all the more vivid by combining customized cuisine with exquisite and artistic presentation. While each M Hospitality venture boasts its own unique flavor and personality, all four offer the same high standards and commitment to excellence well known in the Medure family brand.
