The JoshFox Bead Company will offer the community artisanal bread baked in a wood-fueled oven, and delicious, simple meals crafted with local, organic ingredients. We will serve as an educational resource for learning about growing and making food.
We will feature naturally-levained breads, baked with house-milled, organic whole grain flour. Our daily bread selections will include fresh baguette daily, and three other seasonal varieties, according to the available ingredients of the season. We will bake our breads in a wood-fueled, steam injected deck oven to create the best flavor and consistency in our breads, while utilizing our region’s bountiful natural resources as a fuel source instead of petroleum based fuels, or natural gas. This oven will offer superior flavor and quality over traditional brick ovens. Our approach to baking will be a culmination of old world knowledge and modern technology.
In addition to our bread, we will serve a simple selection of pastries, granola, coffee, tea, and fresh pressed juice for breakfast. Our lunch menu will include a seasonal salad, two sandwiches, and two soups (one vegetarian and one with meat). Our menu will feature our region’s local, organic produce and products. We will strive to be an educational resource for our visitors and community to learn about baking bread, growing food, and making delicious meals from our local resources. We will have an open kitchen floor plan to allow visitors to watch our processes and see how we make their food.
