About Central Builders Group

Central Builders Group is a licensed, insured design-build general contractor based in Pinellas Park, Florida, serving homeowners throughout St. Petersburg and Pinellas County. The company builds custom homes, home additions, second-story additions, and accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and provides roofing, foundation repair, and crawlspace repair. Central Builders Group also completes commercial and multifamily construction projects.

As a design-build firm, Central Builders Group manages architectural design, structural engineering, permitting, inspections, and construction under a single contract. Clients work with one point of contact from the initial site visit through the final inspection and certificate of occupancy. Projects are priced under fixed-price contracts, and work begins only after the contract is signed.

The company specializes in coastal Florida construction, including flood-zone and waterfront building, FEMA 50% rule projects, elevated foundations, wind-load engineering, and hurricane-code compliance. Central Builders Group also restores homes damaged by hurricanes and flooding and completes teardown-and-rebuild projects built to current flood elevation standards.

Services include custom home building on client-owned lots, room and primary suite additions, second-story additions, and detached, attached, and garage-conversion ADUs. Roofing services cover shingle, tile, metal, and flat roof installation and replacement. Structural services include foundation repair with helical and push piers, slab repair, and crawlspace repair and encapsulation.

Central Builders Group serves St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, St. Pete Beach, Belleair, and Tarpon Springs, with experience in waterfront and historic St. Petersburg neighborhoods including Snell Isle, Old Northeast, Shore Acres, Venetian Isles, and Pinellas Point.

The company is owned by David Gayhart and holds Florida Certified Building Contractor license CBC1266673 and Certified Roofing Contractor license CCC1337484.
