Our cafes haves added a new dimension to Edinburgh’s Visitor Attractions. Setting a new standard in delectable food and excellent service. Each is highly distinctive, stylishly decorated and perfectly located to serve the needs of a diverse clientèle.

OUR CAFES

Café Modern One – Located within the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art One, Belford Road, Edinburgh. This cafe has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sculpture garden, makes this one of the best alfresco dining experiences in the city. Opening hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 4.30 pm; Saturday & Sunday 10 am to 4.30 pm. Lunch served from 12 – 2.30pm. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Counter service.

Café Modern Two – Located within the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art Two, Belford Road, Edinburgh. This is one of Edinburgh’s best kept secrets where the emphasis is on fresh simple food prepared to order and served to your table. Opening hours: Monday – Saturday, 10am to 4.30 pm; Sunday 11 am to 4.30 pm. Lunch served from 12 – 2.30. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Table service.

Café Portrait – Located within the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Queen Street, Edinburgh. Well worth a visit this café is within the newly re-opened Scottish Portrait Gallery on Queen Street, following a £17.6 million refurbishment programme the gallery and our cafe, have received rave reviews. Opening hours: Monday – Sunday, 10am to 5 pm; Thursday until 7pm. Lunch served from 12 – 2.30pm. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Counter service.

The Stables Tearoom – Located within Hopetoun House, South Queensferry, Edinburgh. Set within the 18th Century Adam Stables and Courtyard have been extensively restored to their original splendour. Complete with stalls, stone flooring, wrought iron candle sconces and many other original features they now provide a magnificent setting for our traditional Tearoom complete with waitress service. The tearoom is open from Friday 29 March until Sunday 29 September 2013, from 11am – 4.30pm daily. Table Service.

EICA:Ratho Café – Located within the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Ratho, Newbridge, Edinburgh. This is a fabulous location; we’re on the ground floor with breath-taking views into the climbing arena. Come and enjoy the view before or after a climb, or indeed just come and enjoy the view from one of our comfy sofas. Cafe open to all visitors. Extensive free parking. Cafe open every day from 10.00am until 4.30pm (Except Christmas Day & Boxing Day). Counter Service
