About Backdoor Surf Shop
Backdoor is New Zealand’s largest authentic surf shop and skate shop, committed to delivering you the best from both local and international brands.
Founded in 1988 by Geoff Hutchinson, Backdoor has since grown from an alleyway store in Victoria St Hamilton to a network of successful stores all over New Zealand. Backdoor can be found in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Wellington, and of course, online.

They also stock the best range of high performance and great value wetsuits in the country. The team at Backdoor will have your whole family covered all year round.
Their skateboard programme is also hard to beat, with a growing selection of decks, completes, and other hardware managed by guys who know what they’re doing. Simply pop into your local Backdoor for the best deals and expert advice.
